| At the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, Motorola officially announced and the SLVR L7 phone; a razor-thin block phone similar to the popular RAZR V3 clamshell. Weighing at just 85 grams, the SLVR supports EDGE high-speed transfer rates over 300 kbps, push-to-talk walkie-talkie access, Bluetooth Class 2 wireless connectivity, J2ME downloadable games, and Wireless Village instant messaging chat. Additionally it will be supplied with a 176 x 220 px TFT screen displaying up to 262K colors, built-in VGA camera with 4x zoom and video capture and playback, and integrated MP3 player. According to Motorola, the SLVR will come with 5 MB of internal memory with a TransFlash slot providing up to 256 MB of removable memory cards. First mentioned at the quarterly shareholders meeting in January, the SLVR L7 is part of Motorola's growing portfolio of razor-thin phones. Expected to be launched Q3 2005, no official pricing has not been released on the SLVR L7. | |
