Verizon Wireless today announced its Samsung Omnia will be available online on Nov. 26 and in stores on Dec. 8. The Omnia has an advanced touch screen, features Samsung's TouchWiz user interface. TouchWiz has specially designed widgets to customize bright and colorful icons for one-touch access to commonly used applications.
The Omnia also features a full on-screen QWERTY keyboard for fast text messaging, mobile IM and email messages. The haptic feedback on the touch screen provides subtle vibrations to confirm selections. An optical mouse offers easy navigation with the swipe of a finger.
With Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, users can access Microsoft Outlook Mobile to connect to email, schedules and contacts. Office Mobile manages Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents on the go. It supports Opera 9.5 Mobile Browser for a smooth browsing experience.
A high-quality 5.0-megapixel camera has digital zoom and power LED flash. Stereo Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology lets users stay connected to friends and family.
The Samsung Omnia starts at $249.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
