At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today, Samsung Electronics unveiled the Ultra Touch, a slim touch screen slider with an 8.0-megapixel camera. As the newest flagship phone to the Ultra range, the new Ultra Touch has a 2.8-inch AMOLED anti-scratch, anti-smudge touch screen for brighter and more vivid colors.
The handset features an 8.0-megapixel camera with dual power LED flash to snap high-quality photos and capture VGA videos at 30 frames per second.
With TouchWiz's user interface, consumers can flick through photos, navigate through maps and surf the web easily.
Additional functions include geo-tagging to 'tag' photos with geographic information, high-speed HSDPA for fast Internet access, and mobile widgets to quickly access favorite applications.
"We are committed to strengthening our portfolio of full-touch phones by introducing a variety of handsets to suit every lifestyle,"said JK Shin, Samsung's Head of Mobile Communication. "The Ultra Touch leads this portfolio as our most iconic, high-end phone and will further enhance Samsung's leadership in the premium full-touch market."
Samsung has yet to release a launch date or price.
