| AT&T, the nation's second-largest wireless carrier after Verizon, today said it has released the Samsung Propel Pro, a chrome Windows Mobile 6.1-powered slider with a QWERTY keyboard and navigation joystick. The Dallas, Texas-based company said the smartphone runs on Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and can access multiple push-based email accounts, browse the Web with Internet Explorer Mobile, sync schedules and contacts with Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile and manage Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents with Office Mobile. The handset features a 3.0-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi Internet access, stereo Bluetooth technology and a microSD memory card slot. It also integrates AT&T-only services such as Video Share, CV (Cellular Video), MobiTV and AT&T Mobile Music. The handset has AT&T Navigator for driving directions, 3D maps and traffic-delay alerts. Mobile Banking lets customers check balances, transfer funds and view and pay bills. "The slider design with built-in QWERTY keyboard of the Samsung Propel was a very popular form factor for us," said Bill Ogle, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung. "The new Propel Pro takes that compact design and adds the power of a smartphone making it ideal for users who want to take their business with them." The Samsung Propel Pro is available today through retail stores or online for $150 with two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. | |
