| In a move to differentiate itself from the growing number of iPhone-like touch screen devices coming to market, Korean electronics maker LG today announced the Arena (KM900), a new smartphone with a 3D user interface and Dolby and DivX technologies.LG Electronics, the third largest phone maker, said the Arena will feature its new 3D S-Class User Interface, a UI that designed to better access multimedia. The cube-based layout will offer four customizable home screens to access music, movies and photos. The touch-based 3D menus will have a life-like look for simple navigation. The Arena will also integrate Dolby and DivX technologies, Internet connectivity with HSDPA 7.2 networks, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. "The direct, intuitive and dynamic S-Class UI will be unlike anything that has appeared on a mobile phone before," said Skott Ahn, CEO of LG Electronics Mobile. "With rich 3D graphics, touch sensitivity and exciting multimedia capabilities, it will truly make Arena a fully loaded multimedia phone."
