Extending the highly acclaimed Sony Ericsson Walkman phone series, the W810i is the newest flagship device to incorporate the popular MP3 music software. Through USB 2.0, consumers can load their CD collection to the phone, using the provided Disc2Phone music management software. Stored on Memory Stick Pro Duo cards, approximately 150 music tracks (the equivalent of around 15 full length CDs) can be loaded on the included 512 MB card. Current cards are up to 2 GB in size.
The W810 is also a leading imaging device with an integrated 2.0-megapixel camera with auto-focus and a photo light. Using Sony Ericsson's innovative horizontal operating format, the W810i feels more like a Cybershot digital camera than a typical camera phone.
Blending together entertainment and the latest in mobile phone technology, the W810i takes advantage of high speed data downloads through EDGE technology and wireless connectivity via Bluetooth 2.0 with dial-up networking and object exchange protocols.
Planned to be released for Cingular this summer, the quad-band Sony Ericsson W810i will not only redefine how North American consumers listen to and enjoy music, but also how mobile phones integrate with imaging and connectivity as well.
